Sonio's Culture

Our culture at Sonio is about making everyone feel their best at work, professionally and personally. We want to empower everyone in their job, so transparency, flexibility and trust is the overall way of working at Sonio.

Most people at Sonio have a hybrid workplace - on average 2/3 days a week in the office. We are very flexible in our approach, we don't track when you come, some people are full-remote etc. Overall, we believe it's important that people come to the office regularly as you'll benefit from meeting people from diverse backgrounds (technical, medical, scientific, commercial etc.) and we believe team spirit is one of our strongest assets.

Moreover, as we're building software that is used everywhere in the world, we want to build a team that can reflect this diversity. Today, among our 46 employees, there are 13 nationalities, 20 languages spoken, and they are located in 5 countries. Of course, as a result, inclusivity and equity are at the heart of our HR policies and way of working.

A few things we're proud to highlight as part of our culture:

  • Gender-balanced board and leadership team and overall team - still work in progress on developpers teams but we are striving towards that objective.

  • We have developed from a very early stage a generous parental policy (no salary loss during leaves, 5 weeks mandatory for secondary caregiver, 5 days-off for miscarriage and more!)

  • A group has internally taken the lead to calculate our carbon footprint, raised awareness with the organisation of 3 climate fresque and is following our carbon impact.

And much more that you'll hear during the interview process.

Typical interview process

Our typical process has 5 steps:

  • HR chat: 30-minute chat with Clément our HR Manager to explain to you more about Sonio and our products and understand your match and motivation with the job.

  • Chat with your future Manager: A 30-minutes chat similar to the first one but with more technical content

  • Technical test: Case to demonstrate your hard and soft skills relative to the role. We always explain why we're asking questions and what we want to test.

  • Final round: Meet more people from the team, usually the CEO and other people from the leadership. We're testing your understanding of the roles and its challenge and your motivation to make a career move and join Sonio.

  • Reference & Offer

We move fast and aspire to be transparent over the process - our objective is that the process from the first chat to an offer is no longer than a month. We also aspire to give an answer to every application in a week - if you have not heard from us, please follow up at clement.moreau@sonio.ai.
